SHARE MARKET :- Equities open flat ahead of RBI policy review outcome

Key Indian equity indices opened on a flat note on Wednesday as investors remained cautious ahead of the monetary policy review outcome of the Reserve Bank of India due later during the day.

Around 9.17 a.m., the wider Nifty50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose mere 4.05 points, or 0.04 per cent, to trade at 9,863.55 points.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) of the BSE, which opened at 31,522.17 points, traded at 31,488.77 down 8.61 points, or 0.03 %.

The Sensex has so far touched a high of 31,541.54 points and a low of 31,476.20 points.

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices surged to close on a higher note as positive global cues, coupled with healthy buying in automobile, consumer durables, and oil and gas stocks, lifted investors' sentiments.

The Nifty50 rose by 70.90 points, or 0.72%, to close at 9,859.50 points, while the Sensex closed at 31,497.38 points -- up 213.66 points, or 0.68 %.

Sensex, Nifty end down one percent, snap four-day winning streak

The Sensex and Nifty declined more than 1 % on Tuesday, snapping four consecutive sessions of gains, as escalating worries around North Korea added to the volatility ahead of local derivatives contracts expiry this week.

Both indexes had marked their biggest intraday percentage fall in nearly nine months during the session.

The Nifty closed 1.2 % lower at 9,796.05, while the benchmark Sensex ended down 1.14 % at 31,388.39 Nifty below 9,800.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 371 points or 1.17 %at 31,379.82 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 126.85 points or 1.28 % to 9,785.95, at 14:04 hours IST.

हिन्दुस्तान कॉपर के विनिवेश से सरकार जुटाएगी 400 करोड़ रुपये

सरकार ने गुरुवार को कहा कि वह हिन्दुस्तान कॉपर लि. की 6.83 फीसदी पेड अप हिस्सेदारी का ऑफर फॉर सेल (ओएसएस) के माध्यम से विनिवेश करेगी, जिससे 400 करोड़ रुपये जुटाने की योजना है।

वित्त मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा, "कुल मिलाकर हिन्दुस्तान कॉपर के ओएफएस को निवेशकों से अच्छी प्रतिक्रिया मिली है। यह चालू वित्त वर्ष में चौथी सरकारी कंपनी है जिसका विनिवेश किया जा रहा है। ओएफएस के बाद हिन्दुस्तान कॉपर में सरकार की हिस्सेदारी घटकर 76.05 फीसदी हो जाएगी।"

बयान में कहा गया, "बुधवार और गुरुवार को ट्रेडिंग होगी। इसका फ्लोर प्राइस 64.75 रुपये प्रति शेयर (5 रुपये के फेस वैल्यू पर) तय किया गया है और खुदरा निवेशकों को गैर खुदरा श्रेणी की कट-ऑफ कीमत में 5 फीसदी की छूट दी जाएगी।"

बयान में कहा गया कि हिन्दुस्तान कॉपर ओएफएस के खुदरा हिस्से को खुदरा निवेशकों से अच्छी प्रतिक्रिया मिली है और ऑफर साइज को संशोधित कर 1.26 करोड़ शेयर किया गया, जो पूरी तरह से सब्सक्राइव हो गया।
